Thank You RCA ELFS

For October our ELFS are the EV drivers who wrote and called into the Regulatory Commission of Alaska’s (RCA) August 26th public meeting in support of AKEVA’s petition to create regulation to address EV fast charging and demand charges.

Additionally, we thank Tesla, Renewable Energy Alaska Project (REAP), ChargePoint, and others who made comments of support.  Please take a listen to Tesla and ChargePoint discuss the effects of demand charges on EV charging in Alaska.

With your help the RCA Commissioners voted unanimously at the meeting to open a rulemaking docket to investigate and hopefully adopt a remedy for the EV fast charging demand charge issue.

You can track the progress of docket R-20-004– see the documents comprising the written record, look for upcoming events, and make public comments on proposed regulation by visiting the RCA website and navigating to docket R-20-004 or by visiting the link below
